Shoes to Avoid if You Have Back Pain

July 22, 20241 min read

Struggling with back pain? Your shoes might be to blame! High heels, while stylish, can throw off your posture and put extra strain on your lower back. Opt for lower heels or flats with good arch support to keep your spine aligned and reduce discomfort.

Flip-flops, though casual favorites, offer little to no support, causing your feet to work harder and potentially leading to back pain. Instead, choose sandals with arch support and cushioning to keep your feet and back happy.

Worn-out shoes are another culprit. Shoes that have lost their shape and support can contribute to improper alignment and back pain. Regularly check your footwear for signs of wear and replace them as needed to maintain proper support.

Wearing the right shoes is a simple step towards a pain-free back. For more personalized advice and to keep your spine in top shape, visit us at Tullahoma Spine and Wellness.
